Search for answers to a complete crossword puzzle using a crossword clue, publication, or puzzle title. Type a clue in the text box and click "Search Clues" or type the name of a publication or puzzle name in the text box and click "Search Puzzles" to generate a list of results. Our puzzle database is vast, but if we don’t have your clue or puzzle, check out the Crossword Solver to see all possible answers to your clue.
Do you have a favorite puzzle or publication? Subscribers to Wordplays.com can save a list of favorite puzzles to limit the list of puzzles to those you solve frequently. Click the yellow star next to each publication you'd like to mark as favorite and the puzzle list will be limited to those selections.
How to use the Crossword Puzzle Answers Tool
Search for puzzles by clue, puzzle name, or publication. Search results will show a list of publications and their puzzles below the search form. To search:
- Enter a clue or puzzle name into the text field
- Click “Search by Puzzle” to search for a puzzle or publication. Click “Search by Clue” to search for puzzles that contain the clue.
- Optionally, enter a date into the date selector to the right of the form to search for puzzles by date
- Sign up for wordplays.com to take advantage of premium features such as saving favorite puzzles and getting access to specialty puzzle answers, and accessing the puzzle archive.
- Don’t forget to click the yellow star next to your favorite puzzles to lock them in for next time! Your favorites list will appear by clicking “Show Favorite Puzzles” beneath the form
SEARCH Results
Search results will appear ordered by date beneath the form. Click on the publication name to see a list of puzzles for the selected publication.
Clicking on a puzzle will show the answers in list form along with the clue number and direction.
- Select Puzzle Grid in the drop down menu to show the answer grid
- Select Puzzle Clues List to show the a list of clues and answers
- Click on the clue to display similar clues on the Crossword Solver page
- Click on the answer to display clues with the same answer on the Crossword Clues page
- Some features require a subscription.
What is the Crossword Solver?
The Crossword Solver is a tool that aids puzzlers in their crossword solving. Simply enter your clue into the solver and provide any known letters in your answer. The Solver will search through millions of clues in the Wordplays database to find the best solution to your clue. Even if you don’t have any known letters, the Solver will search for keywords and provide a list of results that best matches your clue.
For the clue PUZZLE, we are looking for an answer that contains 7 letters. Enter your clue into the clue box and 7 question marks into the letter/pattern box. Click search. The results will be in the highest-ranking order. The stars next to each answer will guide you to the best answer for your clue. The more letters you provide, or the more specific your clue is, the better the match will be.
Free Crossword Puzzles by Newspaper
Most puzzles are available without a subscripton on the day of publication. A subscription is required to view most older puzzles.
