Players with open challenges will see an alert message when signed in at Wordplays.com letting them know they have been challenged to play a game.

Trouble Creating a Challenge
A challenge can be created for a Wordplay's member, Facebook user, or anyone with a valid email address.
The recipient of a challenge is notified by email and will also see a message at the top of any Wordplays web page indicating that a challenge is pending.
Even if a challenge was created successfully the email notification may not be delivered. This can happen if the email address provided by the challenger is invalid, the email address provided by a Wordplays member during registration is not valid, or there was some other issue when delivering mail over the internet.
A warning will be displayed when an email is sent using a screen name and the Wordplays member has an unverified email address.
If any screen name or email address is provided when creating a challenge that is known to be invalid, the challenge will not be created.
If the person being challenged is a Wordpays member with an invalid email address, they will only be notified of the challenge when they visit Wordplays.com.
Anybody can block challenges, even those who are not registered at Wordplays. Challenges cannot be created if any of the players have blocked challenges.
You cannot challenge yourself. When creating a challenge, you are automatically included as a player and do not need to provide your own screen name or email address.
